The Sims 5 – We can’t wait!

If you are an experienced simmer, you have probably been wanting for EA to announce the next generation for The Sims franchise.
What do we know about The Sims 5? Well, it’s 2022 and we know that EA has confirmed that they are working on bringing The Sims 5 to life, and we think it may be sooner than you think! (:

Goodbye The Sims 4, and say hello to The Sims 5

Even though The Sims 4 has been extremely popular for simmers and general PC game lovers, we can notice a trend that EA has been slowing down in regards to creating new additional content for the game.
For example, The Sims team on Instagram announced their planned releases for the first part of 2022. The Sims 4 will have a game pack that’s themed for love and weddings, and EA is going to release two more kits that feature bright colors and fun outfits.

However, there is no mention of an Expansion pack! You know, the DLC that keeps The Sims 4 game interesting and up-to-date.
With expansion packs you can get new worlds, actions, clothing, hair, objects, and more. But with game packs or KITS?! There’s no way they can bring the same impact for the game overall.

So, with that in mind, it is pretty safe to say that while this is 100% unconfirmed information, The Sims 5 release date could be late 2022.
If the slowing down of additional Expansion Packs is intentional, then it is a PERFECT marketing trick to make simmers feel a bit bored because a game pack or KITS can do only so much.

Let’s say that we get additional 2 game/stuff packs in 2022, and maybe 5 kits. Yes, those would count as new releases for The Sims, however, if they release the last kit sometime in the summer of 2022, then it would make the perfect timing to take 2-4 months off till the fall of 2022.
The Sims 4 was released in fall of 2014, so it would make sense that in 2022 (if that is the correct year EA wants to release The Sims 5) they would do the same thing with the next The Sims game. Plus, it is the perfect time for gaming companies to release new games since Christmas and gift-giving season is near.

The Sims 5: What is ACTUALLY known about it in 2022

Of course, as this is only a prediction, we should wait till the summer of 2022 to see if someone from EA actually posts a teaser or informs us about the release of The Sims 5. The only thing that is confirmed at the moment is that The Sims 5 will feature a multiplayer option, and that EA has been working on The Sims 5 for a while.
